High winds pushed immense flames and heavy smoke up a gulch on the south side of Poudre Canyon on June 17. This was across from Red Mountain and about a mile southeast of Glacier View Meadows. Twenty-five-foot trees on the southern edge of Green Mountain, just below the 12th filing of Glacier View Meadows, are visible at the bottom of the frame and give scale to the enormous firestorm across the canyon from the subdivision.
