The U.S. Forest Service is looking for people who enjoy fishing or want to learn. The fishing fest will be held on July 21 at the West Lake Day-use Area, located off Red Feather Lakes Road (CR 74E) on the Roosevelt Nation Forest.
The whole family is invited to attend this fun, free event to introduce youth to fishing. Participants will learn fishy facts during this morning event. Free fishing rods will be given to all youth participants.
Check in from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The fishing fest will run from 8:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Register by emailing email@example.com by July 16. Space is limited. Anyone 16 and older needs a license to fish.
Bring water, lunch, sunscreen, bug spray, adult fishing gear and a cooler for any fish caught and kept.
Directions: Drive 21 miles north of Fort Collins on U.S. Highway 287. Turn left (west) on to the Red Feather lakes Road (County Road 74E). Drive approximately 22 miles; turn right on Dowdy Lake Road.
