Larimer County Fair highlights

Fair Parade: July 30
One of Loveland’s long-standing traditions, the Larimer County Fair Parade, will be held Saturday, July 30 at 9:30 a.m. in downtown Loveland. The parade route is available at www.LarimerCountryFair.org along with the full event schedule.

4-H Exhibits: July 23-Aug. 9
Nearly 50 4-H types of projects can be seen at this year’s Larimer County Fair. With over 1,110 4-H members in Larimer County, the exhibits will be full of items showcasing talents from local residents.

Splash Dogs: August 5-9
Splash Dogs, a nationally recognized dog enthusiast company, organizes and promotes dock jumping events across the United States. The company will bring its 40-foot pool to the Larimer County Fair for all five days.

Fireworks, presented by AgLand, Inc.: August 5-7
The skies over Loveland will light up for three nights for the Larimer County Fair fireworks, shown at dusk on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Timberworks Lumberjacks, presented by JAX: August 5-7
Full of thrills and excitement, the Timberworks Lumberjacks show has professional lumberjacks doing everything from log rolling to axe throwing to climbing logs upwards of 50 feet straight up and dropping down, all within ten seconds.

Toast to Agriculture: August 5
Larimer County will kick off fair festivities on Friday, August 5 at 6 p.m. with live music, a silent auction and a home-grown dinner supporting local growers at the ‘Toast to Agriculture Scholarship Dinner & Fundraiser’ benefit dinner to support Larimer County 4-H and the CSU Agricultural Sciences students.

Jr. Livestock Sale: Aug. 10
Children from all over Larimer County will be auctioning animals, hoping to raise funds to continue their education. The auction begins at 4 p.m. at the Ranch-Way Feeds East Pavilion on the campus of The Ranch.

PRCA Rodeo: August 7-9
Buckin’ for the PRCA Rodeo starts at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7, kicking off three consecutive nights of PRCA Rodeo. Opening night is Military Night, followed by Monday’s 4-H Family Night and closing with Tuesday’s “Tough Enough to Wear Pink,” when the crowd is encouraged to wear pink. The PRCA Rodeo will be raising money for breast cancer awareness. Tickets are on sale online at www.ComcastTIX.com.
