I have supported Cory Gardner since his first election to the U.S. House in 2010. His strong work ethic, integrity and principled leadership are what continue to inspire me to support him. A lot of politicians change once they arrive in Washington, D.C. He has not. I have watched his work in the U.S. House and Colorado is his priority and he votes accordingly. I believe that is because he is a fifth generation Coloradoan, was educated here in our state and his family has owned a business in Yuma for almost a century.
Congressman Gardner is a Coloradan who understands the unique state we live in by promoting business as well as the environment by supporting energy initiatives that are good for the environment as well as the taxpayer. He has been a leading voice against Obamacare, understanding that it is burdensome, expensive and overly regulated. Instead he has supported legislation for health insurance reform that would allow its purchase across state lines, bolster state plans for the high-risk pools for those with pre-existing conditions, and wants to enact tort reform.
His bipartisan sponsorship of legislation to balance the federal budget, support of transparency and accountability in government departments and simplifying governmental procedures from over- regulation shows he understands that Congress is accountable to the voters and not the other way around.
I would encourage you to look at his record, ignore the false ads and make an informed decision. Colorado would be lucky to have him as our next U.S. Senator.
