Pearl E. Cope, 96, of Wellington, died May 1 at home.
Pearl was born Oct. 1, 1916 to Samuel S.H. and Della Sophia (Keller) Griffith in Yuma.
She graduated from Loveland High School in 1935. Pearl married Clarence Cope in Kimball, Neb. on Nov. 7, 1940. They lived in Yuma, Loveland, Fort Collins and Wellington. She was a full-time mom and homemaker who loved family, reading, gardening, Bible study and tending to her houseplants. She will be fondly remembered for making Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for the grandkids.
Pearl is survived by her children Ruth Amos Rydell of Fort Collins, Gary Cope of Wellington, Vera Allgeier of Brighton and Alberta Powers of Wellington; brother Hunter Griffith of Sheridan, Wyo.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; sister Reba Benson; brother Ike Griffith and great-granddaughter Lisa Anders.
Funeral services were held May 7 at Northern Colorado Church of the Brethren in Windsor. Interment followed at Lakeview Cemetery in Windsor.
