Survey seeks ‘Visions for a Resilient Larimer County'

What makes a community resilient enough to endure sudden or gradual change? Is Larimer County there? What would make the community best able to rebound from a crisis and manage itself in the long-term? Emergency management director Lori Hodges is trying to find out and is using a short survey to help collect data.

“As part of the ongoing hazard mitigation planning process and the Larimer County Fragility and Unmet Needs Study, we are asking for the public’s input on their vision for a resilient Larimer County,” Hodges said.

The survey data will be used in three different planning efforts that are underway:

• The Unmet Needs and Community Fragility Study
• 2016 Hazard Mitigation Plan
• Local Resiliency Strategy.

The survey is being distributed broadly and will close at the end of September. To participate, visit http://www.larimerhmp2016.com/home/surveys and choose the survey titled “Visions for a Resilient Larimer County.”
