Teresa Cagno, 17, sophomore at Poudre High School and Wellington Boys and Girls Club Youth of the Year for the third year in a row, presented her essay to a gathering of Chamber members, town trustees, townspeople, parents and club members at the Sixth Annual Mayor’s Recognition Night for the Boys and Girls Club of Wellington. The club showed a 35 percent increase in membership in 2014.
The Boys and Girls Clubs provided an environment that helps young people reach their full potential through life-changing programs conducted by a dedicated staff during the times when kids are least supervised and most vulnerable. Cost for a year’s membership is $10.
Rob Klein, unit director for Wellington, presented Youth of the Month awards for 2014 to the following members:

Each of their names appears on a permanent plaque which hangs in the clubhouse.
The annual breakfast for youth of the year winners takes place Feb. 5 at the Embassy Suites in Loveland.
