Boy Scouts will be knocking at your door this weekend for Scouting for Food drive

The Longs Peak Council Boy Scouts of America troops are hitting the pavement this weekend to collect non-perishable food for Larimer County residents.

On Saturday, February 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., more than 1,000 boys from 50 Longs Peak Council, Boy Scouts of America troops and Cub Scout packs will be knocking on Larimer County doors to collect non-perishable food for the 27th annual Longs Peak Council, Boy Scouts of America’s “Scouting for Food” drive. The packs and troops will distribute bags during this week, and they will return to collect the donated food Feb. 23.

The community is encouraged to place their bags of donated food outside by 8 a.m. Saturday morning and donate what they can especially the most needed food items: peanut butter, canned tuna fish in water, canned fruits and low sugar cereal.
