Recent rains have caused some safety concerns due to runoff from the High Park Fire burn area, particularly on one portion of the Poudre River.
There is a river blockage comprised of logs, rocks and other debris near where Stove Prairie Road and State Highway 14 meet, between mile markers 106 and 107. This blockage impacts those planning to use the Stevens Gulch and Upper Landing put-ins to boat this section.

Please make sure to abide by all signs in the area. It is recommended to avoid this portion of the river for rafting or kayaking. The U.S. Forest Service is continuing to evaluate this concern and determine the most reasonable course of action.
It is important to note there is still a closure order in place in portions of the burn area. The closure area map is available at www.fs.usda.gov (PDF). The Canyon Lakes Ranger District is monitoring the burn area and the risk of flash floods.
