Botanists to Hear Selection of Natives for GOSC

by GOSC - January 24, 2019

Horticulturalist Bryan Fischer will speak on Tuesday Feb. 5, on the selection and propagation of natives for the new gardens at the Gardens on Spring Creek in Ft. Collins.  The mission of GOSC is to improve the lives of people and foster environmental stewardship through horticulture.  It is currently undergoing Phase One expansion, which will open in April 2019 to include the new Undaunted Garden, Prairie and Foothills Gardens, each with a selection of native plants.  With a 2016 BS Horticulture from CSU, a season working on wildflowers with Denver Botanic Gardens staff and his 4th season with GOSC coming up, Bryan anticipates managing the Foothills and Prairie Gardens that he helped to co-design alongside GOSC curator Sherry Fuller and horticulturist/designer Lauren Springer.

Members of the Northern Chapter of CoNPS gather at 6:30 pm for socializing and listen to the presentation starting at 7:00.  The public is invited, and there is no fee.  Location:

The Tamasag Event Center, 4825 West County Rd. 52E, Bellvue, CO 50512
