Rist Canyon has received heavy rain for the last 24 hours and as of 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 runoff from the burn area is crossing over the road in several areas near Whale Rock. Rist Canyon VFD has been escorting groups of cars up and down the canyon as a precaution.
Stove Prairie Road remains closed.

A USGS rain gauge near the High Park burn in Bellvue is reporting over 7 inches of rain over the last 24 hours.

Traveling west out of Fort Collins will be tough for the next few days. Highway 14 through Poudre Canyon remains closed from Ted’s Place to Walden, and portions of Highway 34 at the mouth of Big Thompson have washed away.
An earthen dam gave way overnight near Big Elk Meadows.
Heavy rain has been confined to points south and west of Wellington in Larimer County. Wellington Fire reported no rain-related emergency calls overnight.
Glacier View Meadows manager Steve Horsman said that the rain produced heavy runoff overnight, but that drainage mitigation efforts in the subdivision have kept road damage to a minimum. He’s advising residents to stay put and not try to head east into Fort Collins.
