Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory will host their fourth annual Winter Raptors on the Prairie Tour 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Pawnee National Grasslands.
Participants will meet at RMBO’s office at 230 Cherry St. in Fort Collins. From there, they will take a van to the national grasslands for the tour with RMBO biologists and staff from Wild Birds Unlimited Fort Collins.
Winter is an excellent time to view an abundance and diversity of raptors on the prairie. During the program, participants will view raptors, gain tips on raptor identification and meet other birders and raptor enthusiasts.
Cost is $25 per person or $20 for RMBO members and students, which includes van transportation and light refreshments. Participants will need to register by contacting Outreach Biologist Jeff Birek at firstname.lastname@example.org or 970-482-1707 ext. 25.
Founded in 1988, Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory is a Colorado-based nonprofit that works to conserve birds and their habitats from Montana to Mexico through science, education and stewardship.
