The 24th Annual Bicycle Tour of Colorado will be held June 24th through the June 30th. The 2018 tour begins in Leadville with check in on June 23rd at Lake County High School from 2 to 6 p.m. The 7-day loop will include the towns of Aspen, Carbondale, Delta, Palisade, Glenwood Springs, Eagle and end in Leadville for a Tour End Celebration, BBQ and Giveaway. Miles covered will be from 72 to 88 miles per day with a day off in Glenwood Springs. Highest elevations include Independence pass at 12,095 feet, McClure Pass at 8,763 feet, Grand Mesa at 11,332 feet and Tennessee Pass at 10,424 feet. Riders are encouraged to acclimate.
Fees provide outdoor and indoor camping with an additional charge of $50 for indoors. Outdoor campers must supply their own tent and sleeping bag with a limit of 40 lbs per bag. Indoor campers are limited to the first 300 campers who make the request and pay the fee. They must bring their own sleeping bag and air mattress and be prepared to sleep in school gymnasiums.

Registration is open until June 20th. Participants may choose to register by mail or online at bicycletourcolorado.com/register/.
The sooner the registration, the lower the cost. Participants who knew to register in January would have paid $435 for the tour while newer registrants will pay $490 for March registration, $500 for April, $510 for May and $520 for June.
