Learn-to-Bowl Month launches unique campaign

To celebrate learn-to-bowl months, Chipper’s Lanes in Fort Collins is presenting a program featuring six tips to improve your bowling from choosing the perfect ball to understanding the lane markings. You’ll see an entertaining demonstration and have available an easy-to-read diagram to follow. Staying true to the company’s mission to support local artists, local filmmaker, Tomas Herrera directed and shot the educational videos. “We created characters to demonstrate each of the six tips.” Herrera states. “Each character has a distinct personality and storyline that makes each lesson more entertaining than a conventional how-to video.”

Chipper’s Lanes has five locations in Northern Colorado area, two in Fort Collins and one each in Greeley, Broomfield and Estes Park. Locally owned and operated, each center provides a smoke-free environment with automatic scoring systems, a full-service bar, restaurant and arcade. An edgy and disturbing remaking of the works of Euripides, this fever dream of a play weaves snippets from Vogue magazine, Soap Opera Digest, interviews with porn star Mai Lin, and works by William Burroughs and Apollinaire, with plays of Euripides as it tells the story of Orestes and Electra, who murdered their mother to avenge her murder of their father… in the present, in what could be any city in this country.

Get Free Tickets! The theatre program at CSU will continue Free Ticket Thursdays for CSU students. For Orestes 2.0: Oct. 10 and 17. CSU theatre is proud to announce its new Free Ticket Sundays initiative, sponsored by the City of Fort Collins Fort Fund grant. Members of the public may attend any Sunday performance of a theatre production for free. Free Ticket Sunday dates for Orestes 2.0 are Oct. 13 & 20. The 18th biennial Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition hosted by the Department of Art at Colorado State University opened runs through Oct. 31 in the Clara Hatton Gallery in the Visual Arts Building on the main Colorado State University campus. It features works of top poster artists and designers worldwide. Now in its 34th year, the biennial event is the only exhibition of its kind in the United States.

Featuring works of 80 artists from 32 countries, including top international entrants and many new faces, the 18th Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition showcases examples of global visual communication to an American audience, and promotes international understanding and dialogue through the graphic arts. The unique exhibition provides exposure to a diverse presentation of prevailing social, cultural, and commercial perspectives.
