Visually powerful, thought-provoking, sometimes humorous, challenging and deeply-moving, the show runs through March 19 at both locations. Bas Bleu Theatre, 401 Pine St. in Fort Collins, presents “That Championship Season,” Feb. 4 through March 5. Time Magazine described the play as “a drama of searing intensity, agonized compassion and consummate craftsmanship.” Set in the 1970s, a group of emotionally bankrupt and disillusioned men are reliving their glory days at a get together with their terminally ill high school basketball coach. Each man comes to the table with a big personality and equally big problems in his life. This production exposes dark secrets and takes you into the conflict that plagued them for 25 years and hindered their potential today as they live through the past. You don’t have to be a sports fan to enjoy this. Info: 970-498-8949 or basbleu.org.
