Roamin’ the Range
There are a few more days to be tickled and touched by Bas Bleu Theatre’s presentation of “King ‘o the Moon,” directed by Jonathan Farwell. The innocence of the ‘50s gives way to the tumultuous ‘60s in the blue collar Catholic Pazinski clan. The show ends Jan. 4. Open Stage Theatre presents Sam Shepard’s “True West,” at the Lincoln Center Magnolia Theatre January 10-31. Midtown Arts Center, 3750 S. Mason St., Fort Collins will delight Alfred Hitchcock fans as they bring the film, “39 Steps to the theater Jan. 9 through March 7. A classic “who-done-it” mystery, four actors play more than 100 roles. Proclaimed “the most entertaining show on Broadway” by the New York Post. The company’s new studio space, Studio 2, opens with Stephen Sondheim’s “Sweeney Todd,” a musical masterpiece of obsession and revenge, Jan. 7 through March 8. Map lovers will enjoy a chance to view a private collection of 18th and 19th century American maps at Lone Tree Antiques and Fine Art Gallery, 115-117 First St. in Eaton through Jan. 7. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Many of the maps are rare and show the progression of territories into states. A map of Greeley shows John Fremont’s early Colorado explorations and an 1860s map of territorial Colorado is signed by the surveyor general of the United States.
