There’s no shortage of summer concert series and music festivals all up and down the Front Range. Here’s a sampling. Chautauqua in Bolder has a summer series that runs through Sept. 21 at 900 Baseline Road. July 24
Mary Chapin Carpenter is on hand. July 31, it’s Lucinda Williams.

The Longmont Downtown Summer Series offers Great American Taxi and Francis the Wolf on July 28. Also in Longmont, the museum summer series, 6:30-8 p.m. in the courtyard of the museum, 400 Quail Ave. will feature Dixie Leadfoot and the Chrome Struts July 6, Blue Limousine July 13, The 101st Army Dixieland Band July 20. Longmont jazz Festival goes from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Roosevelt Park Pavilion, 700 Longs Peak Ave. on July 15. Catch Longmont Jazz All Stars, Espresso!, Wayne Wilkinson Trio 101st Army Dixieland Band, Adam Bodine Trio, After Midnight and Mister Fina. For more information see longmontjazz.com.

For moresummer listening pleasure check out the Mizel Museum Concert Series. On July 6 they feature The Barbelfish Balkan Band with special guest folk musician Liat Arochas, 7 p.m. at The Soiled Dove Underground, Lowry Town Center, 7401 E. First Ave., Denver. Bohemian Nights Thursday Night Live has four performances in July: Halden Wofford & The HI*Beams, (honky-tonk) July 6, Gora Gora Orkestar and Stella Luce, (world and advent pop), July 13, Drag the River (country and mid-western) July 20 and The Burroughs (soul) July 27. All events are free, in Old Town Square, Fort Collins and begin at 7 p.m.

And music close to home. . . July 15 Wellington Main Street’s concert series presents a Grateful Dead tribute by Switchman Sleeping accompanied by Goatz (country/Americana). Concert is free and starts at 6 p.m.

Don’t missRARE II, an exhibit of 40 beautiful botanical illustrations organized by the Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists to introduce the public to rare and imperiled plant species in Colorado.
