Marvin L. Fenwick, 79, of Carr, passed away on May 10, 2017, in Fort Collins.
He was born Sept. 28, 1937, and raised in Pocatello, Idaho, the son of Velma and Arthur Fenwick. Marvin moved to Denver, in the early ’60s and became an ironworker with Local 24. He met his wife Mary K. Oliger while working in Durango. They married on Aug. 25, 1974. In 1980, Marvin retired from ironworking, and later went on to receive his HVAC Certification at RSI in Phoenix, Arizona. He worked maintenance for hotels and resorts throughout Colorado.
Marvin and Mary had an adventurous life together, moving from place to place. They settled down in Carr in 2009, where they enjoyed the peace and quiet of the outdoors. He had a passion for woodworking and remodeling his home — he could fix anything. Marvin had a contagious smile that stuck with everyone he met. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Mary K. Fenwick; daughters Michele (Robert) Forrest, Jeannette Fenwick, Cyndi Allred and Debbie Leavitt; sons David Fenwick and M. Lynn (Terry) Fenwick; and brothers Gene (Susan) Fenwick, Richard Fenwick, Charlie Fenwick, Wesley (Becky) Fenwick, Robert (Wanda) Fenwick; and his many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bill and Arthur Fenwick.
No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to a memorial fund in his name and can be sent to P.O. Box 25, Carr, CO 80612. View the online obituary and share condolences at Allnutt.com
