Nicholas Jay Leonard, age 57, of Fort Collins, passed away Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011 at the McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
Nicholas was born July 9, 1954 in Huntington, West Virginia, a son of Guy and Cleo (Adkins) Leonard.
Leonard served his country in the U.S. Navy during Operation Desert Storm in Iraq. He was a member of the River of Life Fellowship Church in Wellington. Nicholas was a very active member of the Elk’s Lodge 804. He worked as a computer software instructor. He was a loving son, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his father, Guy Leonard of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Marguerite “Gail” and husband Jeff Litter of Fort Collins; and Amanda and husband Travis Trokey of Farmington, Mo.; sister, Paula Leonard of Huntington, W.Va.; two grandsons, Blake and Cameron Braswell.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his mother, Cleo.
Graveside Funeral services for Nicholas Jay Leonard were held Aug. 13 at Knob Prairie Cemetery in Waltonville. A memorial service was held Aug. 16 at River Of Life Fellowship in Wellington.
