Terrance John Hall “Terry” passed on June 1, 2017, at home and at peace surrounded by his family and friends. Terry was born November 18, 1947, on a kitchen table in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Born Terrance Schultz, he was adopted along with his brother Larry in 1949 by Madge and Frank Hall. They lived in Clarion Iowa, Wright County. They moved to Ft Collins in 1961 where he attended St Joseph’s Catholic school, Lesher junior high and graduated Fort Collins High school in 1966. Terry joined the U.S. Marine Corp in 1967 where he studied and passed, to be a jet aircraft mechanic in Memphis, Tennessee. Terry served in Vietnam for a year and a half before he was severely injured. Terry married the love of his life, Sandra Howsden on October 6, 1978. They raised Sandy’s daughter Vicky Lee and had three children of their own – Ruth Ann, Deanne Marie and Amy Dawn Hall. Also, they raised children of relatives, including Shawn, Terrie Joe, Kailee as well as adopting their nephews Josh and Matt Hall. Terry was a bartender for 20+ years and owned a drywall business “Well Hung Drywall” for 20+ years in addition to many odd jobs. Terry had numerous friends and enjoyed life. Terry had been fighting cancer for the last year and a half. He respected and appreciated his many close friends, including Doc, Tom, friends at the VFW and the West End. Terry passed as a happy man.
His brother Larry Hall, who died in a car wreck in 1973, preceded Terry in death. Also proceeded by two sisters Margaret and Judy along with his parents Madge and Frank Hall. Survivors include his wife Sandy, and children Vicky, Ruth Ann, Deanne, Amy, Josh, Matt and Kailee and his grandchildren: Nick and Larry Wahl, Isaac Hall, Hailey, Michael, Moses Zamora, Kadence Lee and Angel Lee Hall Carrillo.
There will be a gathering for Terry at the Fort Collins VFW, 603 Lesser Drive on Saturday, June 10 at 12pm. Lunch will be provided.
