Andy Grant, owner of Grant Family Farms in Wellington, will join regional business, law enforcement, faith and government leaders in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, Oct. 26, for a day-long summit on immigration.
“Mountain West Summit: Forging a New Consensus on Immigration” will feature keynote speakers Mayor Paul Bridges of Uvalda, Ga., where sweeping immigration statutes are having an economic impact, and nationally syndicated columnist Ruben Navarratte.
Grant, an organic food producer, will be part of a roundtable discussion of the role immigrants and immigration play in the current and future economy of Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Idaho.
The program will also include presentations on regional demographics, how congregations of faith have been shaped by the recent influx of immigrants, and the relationship between immigrants and law enforcement agencies in the region.
