Cathy Kipp, Poudre School District parent and long-term school volunteer, has announced her candidacy in the Board of Education election this November.
Kipp served on PSD’s District Advisory Board (DAB), the school district’s parent and community organization from 2004 to 2011, including terms as chair and secretary. She has volunteered in two Parent Teacher Organizations as an officer. She currently serves on the Boltz School Accountability Committee, as the Boltz representative on the DAB and is co-chairing this year’s PSD 101—the DAB’s annual parent and community education night. A 26 year resident, Cathy and her husband, Don, live in southeast Fort Collins with their two sons, who now attend Boltz Middle School.
The 2011 Poudre School District Board of Education election will be an all mail-in ballot election. Ballots will be mailed to eligible electors between Oct. 11 and 14. Ballots must be returned to the Larimer County Clerk by the end of business on Nov. 1.
