The Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures at 200 West Mountain Avenue in Fort Collins presents a festive and colorful exhibit. “Celebrations Around the World and International Santas” highlights important holidays and cultural traditions of many countries. The international exhibit opens Dec. 6 and continues through Feb. 23, 2014; CSU Professor Jack Curfman is the guest curator and exhibition installer for the show. The art, artifacts, dolls, decorations, and masks are displayed in the order of the months of the year in which the holidays are celebrated. Popular and unusual holidays from Bolivia, Japan, Vietnam, India and Germany are among those featured in this exciting display, which also includes delightful international Santas. Be sure to stop by during December’s First Friday Gallery Art Walk from 6-9pm. Contact the museum at 970.221.4600 or visit www.globalvillagemuseum.org.
