CenturyLink phone lines have become so unreliable in the Red Feather Lakes area that the Red Feather Lakes Planning Advisory Committee has asked the Larimer County Board of County Commissioners to intervene on behalf of affected residents and businesses.
The RFL planning group gave a report to the commissioners April 17 and listed a host of problems with CenturyLink service, including numerous dropped calls and erroneous service messages. The group also claims that CenturyLink has misrepresented DSL Internet speeds. CenturyLink claims Internet speeds of 1.5Mps, while consumers in RFL are experiencing speeds that are 30- to 50-percent less.
The RFL planning group asked the commissioners to contact CenturyLink and the Public Utilities Commission on their behalf and request improvements to service.
