It’s terrific when children and adults can expand their worlds with music lessons – but why drive all the way south to Fort Collins? Colleen Crosson offers a great alternative. She teaches music in a wonderful studio at her home, shared with husband and pianist Mark Sloniker, located a few miles north of Fort Collins on State Highway 1 (Terry Lake Road).
Colleen, a performing musician herself, teaches guitar and voice to students of all ages, beginning as young as 5 and going through adulthood. “I’ve had students in their 70s,” she said. “It’s never too late to start!” Colleen has over 20 years of experience teaching guitar and 15 teaching voice, offering a wide range of vocal styles and all styles of guitar except classical. She also coaches musicians in performance technique.
The music studio doubles as a concert hall, where Colleen and Mark hold student gatherings twice each year for sharing music with family members and each other. They also host house concerts with local and national touring musicians.
Colleen and friends are available as well for public and private performances, from solo to full band appearances.
