Larimer County Planning and Building Services Division Director Linda Hoffmann and Human Resources Director Lorenda Volker are the final two candidates to become County Manager when Frank Lancaster steps down later this month.
The Board of County Commissioners announced their selection late Tuesday, May 1. Board Chair Lew Gaiter III said that while the internal search produced eight qualified applicants, “these two clearly stood out above the rest due to their excellent backgrounds, executive experience, business management and unique capabilities.”
Citizens will have an opportunity to meet the finalists on Monday, May 7, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Larimer County Courthouse Offices Building Hearing Room, 1st floor, 200 W. Oak St. Fort Collins, when the commissioners host a meet-and-greet event. This will follow interviews by the county’s senior management team.
Elected county officials other than the commissioners will interview both candidates on Tuesday, May 8, and the commissioners will conduct their interviews on May 16. A new county manager should be named shortly after the commissioners’ interviews.
Lancaster has accepted the position of Town Administrator for Estes Park, Colorado and his last day in office at Larimer County will be Friday, May 11.
