In celebration of World Spay Day on Feb. 25, a national event created by the Humane Society of the United States, Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic is offering spay and neuter surgeries for up to 25 dogs and 30 cats at a reduced price of $20.
The clinic’s normal spay/neuter fees range from $39 to $134. But the World Spay Day event’s drastically reduced rate of only $20 will be made possible because the veterinarians working that day, Dr. Meghann Berglund and Dr. Cynthia Johnson, will be volunteering their surgical skills and expertise.
The one-day event coincides with the clinic’s February-long “Beat the Heat” special in which female cats can be spayed for $20, but space is limited to the first 200 females.
An appointment is required for both the World Spay Day and “Beat the Heat” campaigns, but there are still spots available. Pet owners can schedule by calling 970-484-1861. For more information, visit the organization’s website at www.FCCRSNC.org.
