The holiday season can be particularly stressful for divorced or estranged families trying to negotiate parenting (or grandparenting) time with children. Attorney Mary M. Davis, owner of Fort Collins Mediation, LLC, is a specialist in matters concerning children, with over 20 years of experience. “With the help of a trained mediator, parents can set aside hard feelings and find healthy resolutions for the sake of the children,” Mary said.
“I understand the emotional dynamics of persons in conflict, and I tactfully help them create their own solutions,” she stated. Mediation is a voluntary, non-binding process. When needed, resolutions reached can be filed with the court.
Besides handling divorce and children’s issues, Mary mediates many types of disputes including those between employers and employees, among business partners, and issues that may arise when a loved one is incapacitated or dies. As an attorney, Mary represents clients in matters such as wills, estates, family law, and business law.
Mary earned her law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also holds a master’s degree in education and is certified in early childhood development. She serves as a court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem for children.
