Lory State Park in Bellvue will be hosting a free hunter education class February 15 to 17. Come learn the rules and regulations, wildlife species and safety skills to hunt in Colorado.
Class times are Feb. 15, 6 to 8 p.m. and Feb. 16 and 17, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
To register, go to wildlife.state.co.us/Hunting/HunterEducation/CourseCalendar/Pages/HECalendar.aspx and click on the “February 15 Bellvue course” and select “register here.” Class size is limited to 16 people; registration is on a first come basis.
The class requires participation through the entire three sessions, a multiple choice test, and the ability to handle a .22 caliber rifle. Bring a bag lunch for classes. If you have any questions, contact the Park at 970-493-1623.
