Lory State Park will be hosting two free hunter education classes on February 22 and 23. The first portion of each class will be web-based, so that students can work online, followed by a classroom day on the 22 or 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lory’s Visitor Center.
Interested students should visit wildlife.state.co.us and follow Enroll Now to Hunter Education Internet Conclusion Course – Bellvue.
The class sizes will be limited to 16 people and students will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Requirements for the class include the ability to sit through the entire class, take a multiple choice test and the ability to handle a .22 caliber rifle. A bag lunch should be brought to class.
Questions regarding these classes can be directed to the Park by calling 970-493-1623.
