Several Four Mile Canyon Fire survivors from Boulder are coming to Fort Collins on July 19 to share lessons learned about recovering from wildfire as part of Larimer County’s special meeting for High Park Fire survivors.
The Four Mile Canyon residents will talk about insurance, rebuilding your home and community and taking care of yourself and family.
Gary Darling, Larimer County’s fire recovery manager, says this is an important piece of the process. “Dealing with the emotional side of this experience is important. We’ll have people there who have been through this and can share what they experienced and how they moved forward,” said Darling.
The Thursday meeting is for fire survivors who’ve lost a home and gets under way at 6:30 p.m. in the Hearing Room, 1st floor, of the Larimer County Courthouse Offices Building at 200 West Oak St., Fort Collins.
