The Board of Larimer County Commissioners approved County Manager Linda Hoffmann’s recommendations on June 17 to reorganize aspects of the commissioners’ office effective June 26.
· Human Resources Director Lorenda Volker takes on the expanded role of Assistant County Manager while maintaining her director position over Human Resources. In addition to Human Resources, she will be in charge of all internal services: Finance, Fleet, Facilities and Information Technology (FITD). Volker will move into the commissioners office in recently renovated space.
· Assistant County Manager Neil Gluckman will take the lead on Economic Development at the county. Hoffmann says a high level of leadership is needed for Economic Development because it is a major focus of the current Strategic Plan. Gluckman oversees the Departments of Health and Environment, Human Services, Extension, and the Workforce Center. He also serves as the County’s Director of Legislative Affairs.
In addition to the three Larimer County Commissioners, the commissioners office consists of the offices of County Manager, Budget, Emergency Recovery, and Public Information. Volker will receive a pay raise as compensation for taking on the extra duties, bringing her annual salary to $136,000.
