The League of Women Voters of Larimer County is hosting a Feb. 11 panel discussion on the state of funding for education in Larimer County.
“Students in Larimer County cannot afford one more year of budget cuts. Colorado has experienced multiple years of education cuts; critical resources have been slipping away from our students,” said Nancy Crow, spokesperson for the League. “State leaders have repeatedly postponed any meaningful action.”
To look at these critical issues in school funding, the League has organized a panel discussion of local educators and parents. The panel includes: Greg Grote, President, Poudre Education Association; Dave Montoya, Budget Manager, Poudre School District; Judy Oakleaf, School of Teacher Education and Principal Preparation, CSU; retired PSD classroom teacher; Laurie Schearer, President, Thompson Education Association; Steve Towne, Chief Financial Officer, Thompson School District.
The League of Women Voters invites those concerned about education in Larimer County to join in the discussion of this critical issue.
The panel discussion starts at 7 p.m. at the Coloradoan Meeting Room, 1300 Riverside Ave. in Fort Collins.
