In the June 2012 issue of the North Forty News (Fort Collins & Larimer County) there was an article titled, “CenturyLink says faster broadband now available in Red Feather Lakes Village.” by Kate Hawthorne.
In this article it was reported CenturyLink promised faster broadband speeds to between 5 and 6 Mbps. It was also reported that Alan Davis (Northern Colorado’s area operation manager in Eagle) that the “DS-3” was recently installed.
My service is connected by fiber optic cable from Red Feather Lakes to just across the road from Glen Echo resort in the Poudre Canyon …. 31503 Poudre Canyon Road just east 0.5 mile from my mountain home.
If this new speed is available in the Red Feather Lakes Village and surrounding areas why is it not available to me? I believe the fiber optic cable would be capable of delivering to me the same speeds. My current broadband speeds from 99.195.96.220 CenturytelInternetholdings speeds show “Down” = 1.28 Mbps and “Up” = 0.43 Mbps.
Check it out thru the link below which I have used to get these numbers over the past 1.5 years.
