Lory State Park will be hosting a free, three-day hunter education class March 30 through April 1.
The March 30 class is 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the March 31-April 1 classes are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To register for the class, please call the Lory State Park Visitor Center at 970-493-1623. The class size will be limited to 12 people on a first-come, first-serve basis (so call and reserve your spot!). Requirements for the class include the ability to sit through the entire class, take a multiple-choice test and handle a .22-caliber rifle. Please bring a bag lunch each day.
Lory State Park, located in beautiful Bellvue, offers visitors a variety of rugged terrain and the stunning vistas of the northern Colorado Front Range. The park covers almost 2,600 acres and features 26 miles of trails that lead through forest, meadows and rock-outcroppings, offering visitors great terrain for mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, bouldering, and horseback riding.
