A Parks Advisory Board will help facilitate construction of Wellington Community Park. Formed in May, the board consists of three town board members and four Wellington residents.
The Board meets at the Leeper Center on the second and fourth Mondays of the month and all meetings are posted and open to the public. Minutes of the meetings are kept and available for review.
The board also will facilitate construction of future parks and trails in Wellington, work on connecting trails throughout town and encourage tying into trails coming into the area from Larimer County and Fort Collins.
The mission of the board is to “enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Wellington by maintaining, improving and establishing parks, trail systems and open spaces while promoting environmental conservation and land preservation as well as meeting the recreational needs of all abilities for present and future generations.”
