As March blows in, can spring be far behind? Well, yes, maybe. After all, March is the wettest month around here. Indoor entertainment still tops the list for a while.
Head down to the Loveland Museum and Gallery, 503 N. Lincoln Avenue and take in Xylem, an exhibit of innovation in botanic art through March 15. And while you are there check in to see History as Art: 100 years: For the Love of Rocky through March 29. General admission is free, main gallery admission, $5. Wild Kingdom Revisited: Warren and Ginny Garst International Collection continues at the Global Village Museum, 200 W. Mountain Ave. in Fort Collins through June 3. The museum is hosting a Peace Corps Social March 7 and the opening of Women of the World exhibition on March 6 followed by First Friday Gallery Walk, 6-9 p.m., with half-price admission. Fort Collins Museum of Art, 201 S. College Ave. presents the evocative landscape photographs of Wellington photographer Mark James, celebrating the centennial year of Rocky Mountain National Park through March 15. The Center for Fine Art Photography, 400 N. College Ave., Fort Collins, is part of a biennial celebration of fine art photography with hundreds of collaborative public events throughout Denver and the region during March and April. A solo exhibition of the work of Youngho Kang, 99 Variations opens March 6 in the north gallery and remains through April 19. Regarding Beauty juried exhibition opens March 6. The gallery is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday.
Alfred Hitchcock’s hilarious farce, The 39 Steps, plays at Midtown Arts Center, 3750 S. Mason St. through March 7.
