Task Force SOS (Save Our Store) has been formed “for gathering ideas and devising an action plan to help solve this tragic situation and keep Main Street Market open and running,” according to the group’s website at www.savemainstreetmarket.com.
The group is meeting tonight (March 29) at 6:30 p.m. at the Wellington Leeper Center.

Signing a petition is not going to help much. To make real progress the people of Wellington must get business friendly people on the governing board. Cut the tax rate charged on businesses, Main street market, Ace. The people on governing board don,t understand that a business must make a profit or shut down. The town governing board must cut their tax rate in half on the stores, which then could have lower prices and would increase sales and give the money hungry governing board more money, but they cannot see that far.
The next business will probably close will be Ace due to the town governing body, and very little local support.
If the governing body does not change the tax rates immediately. Then recall and kick off the ones who are not business friendly.
We do quite a bit of business with both Main Street and Ace, even tho the north end of Fort Collins is just about as close. We have never been in the new King Supers Market Place.
Thanks, Del Black
