Roughing It In Style, Inc., a family owned Madison, Wisc. based company has recently opened its first Colorado location in a newly remodeled 30,000 square foot building at 5816 S. College Ave. in Fort Collins.
The former Lazy-Boy location underwent extensive remodeling over the summer and fall of this past year in preparation for the, soft opening in late December with a grand opening scheduled for early spring of 2015.
“For 17 years, Roughing It has catered to people who are looking for unique and custom furniture and kitchen cabinets that could best be described as upscale rustic elegance,” said Sue Torgeson, one of the founders, primary buyer and a designer at Roughing It In Style.
Roughing It In Style currently has long-standing relationships with many small and unique manufacturers, as well as its own manufacturing facilities that specialize in reclaimed barnwood furniture and kitchen cabinets.
