Chris Hall has a big idea and it’s about to get bigger. For the last three years he’s been promoting alumni football games by encouraging old high school rivals to “strap on a helmet one more time.”
Since 2010 his company, Gridiron Alumni, has organized games which have raised $250,000 for schools and charities. A single game raised $30,000. The average is $5,000 per game. Hundreds of players and thousands of fans have had themselves a good time for a number of good causes.
Players in a local area are invited to register and play. The first 40 to sign up on a team get to play. The team that gets 30 people registered first gets home field advantage.
Hall would like to expand his games beyond the South, his home area. He’s working to get the word out and to see where there may be interest in participating. “Most of our games are played in the spring and summer and we want to give guys plenty of time to get in shape,” he said.
He’s interested in Northern Colorado. Anyone who would like to explore the possibilities can contact Chris Hall at [email protected] or give him a call at 530-410-6396.
