Terry Lake Road criminal trespass suspect charged

On Feb. 23 at about 6 a.m., Larimer County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a man unlawfully entering a vehicle in the 2000 block of Terry Lake Road. The reporting person described the man and said the man fled the area when confronted. Deputies searched the area and discovered multiple vehicles on the property had been unlawfully entered and had property stolen from inside.

Another deputy began searching the immediate area for the suspect. Deputies located and detained a male matching the suspect description inside a garage in the 200 block of Spaulding Lane. The man was identified as Christopher Bruce Boyd of Fort Collins, who was in possession of several items deputies believed to be stolen property.
 
The investigation revealed that Boyd had trespassed in and removed property from four vehicles on the same property on Terry Lake Road. Boyd also trespassed in two garages on Spaulding Lane and removed property from one of them. Deputies were able to locate all the victims and the recovered stolen property was returned to the owners at the scene. Boyd was booked into the Larimer County Jail for the following allegations with a total bond of $2,750:
 
• 1st Degree Criminal Trespass (Class 5 Felony)
• 2nd Degree Criminal Trespass (Class 3 Misdemeanor)
• Theft (Petty Offense 1st Degree)
