This alt-rock band from Detroit sort of resembles a 70’s underground British rock band. Left Over Right is a strong album, consistent with the driving power of upbeat sounds, heavy on the organ riffs and Beatles-like melodies. The Sights successfully throws in suprises which creates an enjoyable listening experience. “Easy Living” begins with a melodic guitar solo and you think that an amped up ballad is coming…it turns out to be a happy, rolling, energetic song. “You Are The Sunshine” slows the pace down and features cowbells and whistling. Left Over Right is infectious and unique. It’s like cute but edgy, raucous, yet comfortable. The Sights know wheat they are doing. This is the band’s seventh album and 14th year together. If you like Jack White, you’ll like The Sights.
