There will be at least one new face on the seven-member Poudre School District Board of Education following the Nov. 1 election.
Three of the four open seats are being contested.
M.L Johnson, a director in District G since 2003, will leave the board due to term limits. Teresa Affleck and Susan Gutowski are competing to fill his vacant seat.
Board president and District F director Nancy Tellez will face Stephen Yurash in her bid for re-election to the seat she has held since 2005.
Incumbent director Barbara Schwerin will face Cathy Kipp in the race for the District A seat. Schwerin has served on the board since 2007. Kipp has served on the district advisory board since 2004.
District B director Tom Balchak is unopposed for the District B seat he has held since 2007.
Directors must live within the boundaries of their director districts but the election is at large.
The voter registration deadline is Oct. 3. The election will be all-mail. Ballots will be mailed the week of Oct. 11 and should be delivered by Oct. 13. They must be returned no later than 7 p.m. on Nov. 1. Ballots also can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the citizen information center on the first floor of the Larimer County office building at 200 W. Oak St. in Fort Collins.
