Turned Silks

Ann-Marie Phalen-Hartman recently shed her day job to focus on her art. She decided creating wearable art fashioned from found art was time better spent. As a costume designer with over 15 years of experience, Ann-Marie’s desire to use textiles in a way that was not necessarily intended by the original designer, has formed into a business. Turned Silks creates clothing from re-purposed materials. More specifically, from wool, cashmere, angora, silk and other high natural-content knitted fibers. Materials up-cycled into beautiful unique creations is the focus of Turned Silks where re-purposing is a passion.
