Cynthia Sullivan with the town of Wellington reports that while no dates for completion have been set, work is moving forward on the Interstate 25 underpass that will connect the east and west sides of the highway and create a safe passage for Rice Elementary School students. One of the three tubes that currently run under the highway has been cleaned out by a Wellington crew and they are currently working to clean out a second tube. A third has been cleaned out by the Colorado Department of Transportation.
