United Way of Larimer County announces 2014 Community Impact Partners

United Way of Larimer County on April 16 announced its 2014 Community Impact Partners, representing 70 organizations from across the county that are committed to working together to have maximum impact on reducing poverty and improving lives of people in our community.

All Community Impact Partners meet high standards of efficiency and accountability, and have demonstrated that they are financially sound and ethically governed. In addition, the partners’ work in the community aligns with United Way’s Community Impact Plan, which outlines research-based strategies and objectives in the key impact areas of Education, Income and Health.

“We are thrilled to have 70 organizations from all across the community committed to working together to create long-term, lasting solutions that will give all people in Larimer County the opportunity for a better life,” said Marcy Yoder, vice president of Community Impact at United Way of Larimer County.

Community Impact Partners include local nonprofit human service agencies, school districts, community organizations, volunteer groups, government entities, and foundations.

“It’s a mutual endorsement. United Way is endorsing the great work our partners do in the community, and our partners are endorsing the collective movement of all of us working together to reduce poverty and increase prosperity in Larimer County,” said Gordan Thibedeau, president and CEO of United Way of Larimer County.

United Way and its Community Impact Partners are committed to tracking the progress of the Education, Income and Health goals outlined in the Community Impact Plan in a common, collective approach. Beginning in 2015, annual progress reports will be published to keep the community informed of the advancements made through the collaborative efforts of United Way and its partners.

Organizations are welcome to submit applications for partnerships on an annual basis. The next round of applications for Community Impact Partners will open in December 2014.
