NoCo Shares will deliver 350 Christmas trees to hundreds of local families this Christmas season and needs volunteers and donations to realize another successful year.
Volunteers are needed on Saturday, Dec. 6 to deliver trees in the northern Colorado area. Volunteers can sign up for a half day or a full day of deliveries at the following link. This is a family friendly volunteer experience.
Trees are delivered to families referred by local agencies such as United Way of Larimer County, Project Self Sufficiency, Partners Mentoring Youth and Realities for Children.
In its 11th year of the Christmas tree project, NOCO Shares has partnered with the Colorado State Forest Service to deliver fresh cut Christmas trees to its recipients, while helping the CSFS with forest management efforts in Pingree Park, Colorado State University’s mountain campus.
In addition to volunteering, donations are what keeps this project going and growing. Tax deductible donations can be made payable to NoCo Shares and mailed to P.O.Box 272683, Ft. Collins, CO 80527 or you can donate online via PayPal at http://www.nocoshares.org
