Volunteers who would like to learn about gardening with native plants are sought to help tend the Nix Native Plant Garden at the City of Fort Collins Natural Areas Department’s headquarters. Tasks include weeding, mulching, pruning and more. Gardening experience is helpful but not required. Your time will help nurture a living exhibit that teaches visitors about the benefits of native plants and provides design inspiration.
Volunteer’s time commitment is flexible although garden work days are Wednesdays. Anyone who enjoys gardening can apply. You may work alone or in groups. This is a great opportunity for garden clubs, neighborhoods or church groups. Adults only please.
Orientation Date: Wednesday, April 15, 10:00-11:30
Location: Nix Native Plant Garden at the Natural Areas Department’s offices, 1745 Hoffman Mill Road
