September is here and we feel a coolness in the air. Here are some of the cool events at the Wellington Senior Center this month.
Sept. 3: The center will be closed for Labor Day.
Sept. 4: Lunch at The Abbey of St. Walburga; bus leaves the center at 10 a.m.

Sept. 5: Free blood pressure check, 11 a.m. to noon. Celebration of September birthdays and the band plays, 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Sept. 10: Membership meeting, 10:30 a.m.
Sept. 13: Picnic at Dowdy Lake; bus leaves the center at 10 a.m.
Sept. 18: Breakfast at The Chocolate Rose, 3728 Cleveland Ave., Wellington; meet at 9:30 a.m.
Sept. 25: Knit and crochet at the Senior Housing clubhouse, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring your lunch.
Sept. 27: Potluck lunch at noon; games follow.
Sept. 28: Bingo, 1 to 4 p.m. Bring white elephant prizes and finger foods to share.
Call Trudy at 970-817-2293 for details. And remember to bring your aluminum cans to the center for recycling.
The center is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with meals served each day at noon. For reservations, call the day before between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at 970-817-2293.
