Railroad crews will begin upgrading the railroad crossing on Washington Avenue sometime after Sept. 1 according to Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway.
“The town will need to get the road paved and opened back up in the meantime and re-close it once BNSF can get the track crew in to do that portion,” said town trustee Jack Brinkhoff.
Town crews will then patch any gaps after the railroad crossing work is completed, he said.
